“VIAS FERRATAS” are a relatively recent experience in Portugal, and are an excellent option for those looking for a truly different adventure.

VIA FERRATA is a mountain activity that allows you to climb cliffs safely, using fixed equipment (steps and steel cable) and specific personal protective equipment, allowing anyone to reach places that would only be possible for experienced climbers.

The Via Ferrata das Talhadas is located in the Serra das Talhadas (250km from Lisbon – about a 3-hour journey). It is the longest in Portugal, with a total length of 2,190 metres. It has 11 different sections, a 15-metre Tibetan bridge and a 40-metre suspension bridge.
